Exhibitions

Normally the club has up to three exhibitions. See the programme for details

"Members' Exhibition"

Sheffield Winter Gardens. We have secured this excellent venue again for a late spring exhibition on 11 to 20 May 2012. This will be a general exhibition, where artists can show any genre they choose. Selection Committee: Phil, Doreen, Ian, John, Keith and exhibition working party is Ruth, Phil and Ian.

"In the Frame"

Sheffield Winter Gardens – ‘Sheffield – in the Frame’ - For a fourth year the club will be holding its popular exhibition of Sheffield through an artist's eye. It will be held from 5 to 14 October 2012. As before we will allow for up to two works each. In general the size should not be greater than 16 inch x 24 inch, but we may have space for a few larger pictures. This exhibition presents an excellent opportunity to show the work of the Club to a wider audience and to link ourselves closely to Sheffield. It would be good if most of the works were new to Sheffield audiences.

"Baslow Exhibition"

Baslow Community Centre. We have secured this excellent venue again for an exhibition on 23 to 24 June 2012.

At all exhibitions paintings may be purchased by cash or cheque with supporting bank card, a receipt given and a red spot fixed to the painting. Purchased paintings will preferably remain until the end of the exhibition. Although if this is not possible pictures can be taken and replacements put in place.

For the two Winter Gardens Exhibitions there is a selection process. Please see the programme for dates of selection evenings

"Sheffield Shop Displays"

Two spaces are being made available in Sheffield City Centre on 23 April to 9 May and 18 to 30 September 2012. A number of pictures will be put on show, though at this stage we are not sure if sales will be allowed. Details will be made available closer to the dates.

Heeley members wishing to exhibit in regular exhibitions can download the exhibit listing form from here. Rules governing exhibitions can be found in the Winter 2007 Newsletter, which can be downloaded from the Newsletter page. However, please note that the hanging fee has been increased to £1 per picture, up to a maximum of six, as agreed by the club at the last AGM
