Galleries

Derwent-Wye Fine Art
Derwent-Wye's Exhibit Gallery can be found on the A6 on the right just before the junction with the Chatsworth road (when travelling from Bakewell). It is quite easy to miss if you do not know where to look. You search will be well-rewarded as this gallery puts on some landmark exhibitions, focussing on local artists. The had the 'A Century of Sheffield Art' at the same time as our 'In the Frame' exhibition during 2008. Check on their web-site to see what is on.

Church Farm Gallery
The Church Farm Gallery will be well-known to many Heeley AC members whose pictures have graced its walls. The gallery specialises in local landscapes (although not exclusively) most of which have been done by local artists. The size of the gallery belies the range of work on show.

Cupola Gallery
The Cupola Gallery is a well-established gallery on Middlewood Road, Hillsborough. It has a continual programme of exhibitions of stimulating art. The website has an impressive set of links to artists, many of whom have had exhibitions at Cupola.

space59
space59 can be found at 59, Hadfield Street, Walkley, Sheffield, S6 3RR. Members may know it from the Open Up artists it has hosted. The gallery was created in 2007 by Gaynor Lewis to offering contemporary gallery space to emerging local artists on a non-permanent basis. See the web site for details of exhibitions.

Artist and Illustrator Magazine
The magazine needs no introduction. Its associated web site has subscription details, a chat page (onto which you can post links to pictures to invite comment and discussion) and will have details of the Artists and Illustrators Exhibition held around July every year.
